Marzemino- Vallagarina - I.G.T.

The excellent, renowned quality of this grape, makes the Marzemino variety one of the greatest protagonists in the winegrowing culture of Trentino. Vallagarina is its traditional cradle, where it grows best: here Marzemino finds ideal pedoclimatic conditions, where it acquires its unmistakable organoleptic characteristics. It's a smooth, velvety red, to be enjoyed by people who appreciate every minute sensory nuance.

Sensory profile: Deep ruby red in colour with aubergine flecks, violet and prune bouquet. On the palate it is distinguished for its sweetness finale and for an intense, whole and clean fruit.
Food pairings: Wine for all meals. Particularly indicated for first courses with meat sauces, white meat and fine poultry.
Service temperature: 16 / 18°C.

Production zone: Vallagarina in Trentino
Grape varieties: 100% Marzemino
Soil composition: Morainic cone, with a variable composition where granitic and basaltic moraines are foud.
Vineyard - Growing systems and principal training forms: Small "pergola trentina" managed with rigorous winter pruning and intervention during the vegetation period for production control. Integrated fight against parasites and soil management respecting the environment.
Harvest: Manual, according to the maturation curve, in the last ten days of September.
Vinification: In stainless steel tanks. The contact with the skins never exceeds 7 - 10 days. Reassembly of the must is frequent, while the "delestage" - the complete remixing through the emptying and refilling of the tanks - are done only during the first days of fermentation. The maximum peak temperature reaches 27°C. The maturation occurs in stainless steel.
Storage: In standing bottles when consumption is expected within a short time. Otherwise it is suggested to lay the bottle down at a temperature as close as possible to 16 - 18°C in the dark.
Bottle and content: Bordolese bottle of 0,75 lt.
Packaging: Box containing 6 bottles positioned vertically (12 for the market in the U.S.A.).
