his wine has everything at the maximum: the land is very difficult to farm because it's made up mostly of calcareous stones, typical of the high Grave friulana area. Here the climatic conditions are extreme, and Albino Armani has chosen to produce just a few bunches per grapevine in order to bring out its full expression. Now the Cantina Armani can present an elegant Pinot Grigio, which is incisive and eclectic.
Sensory profile: Golden yellow in colour. Delicate bouquet of pear and mature apple. It evolves with scents of dry hay and toasted almond. Round and smooth on the palate.
Food pairings: Excellent as an aperitif. Goes well with delicate appetizers and ligth first courses, risotti, white meat, eggs, roasted and baked fish.
Service temperature: 10 - 12¡ C.
Production zone: Alpi Carniche of the high Grave Friulana
Grape varieties: 100 % Pinot Grigio, with the best selection of national and international clones.
Soil composition: Loose,well aired soil, mainly composed of characteristic calcareous white coloured river stones from Grave, the result of flooding by the Meduna torrent.
Vineyard - Growing systems and principal training forms: Guyot and Casarsa with rigorous winter pruning, and intervention on the vegetation for leaf control apparatus and production. Protection against parasites and extreme attention for the soil management anf for the irrigation.
Harvest: Manual from the first 10 days of September onwards.
Vinification: Fractional pressing of whole grapes with soft airbag pressing. Fermentation at controlled temperature and maturation in stainless steel.
Conservation: In standing bottles when consumption is expected within a short time. Otherwise it is suggested to lay the bottle down at a temperature as close as possible to 16 - 18°C in the dark.
Bottle and content: Bordolese bottle of 0,75 lt.
