Chardonnay - Friuli - Grave D.O.C.

This wine is produced in the area of Sequals, a mountainous township of the high Grave Friulana region. These lands are swept by the winds of the surrounding Carniche Alps. Striking the white stones there is constant pure sunshine, which reflects upwards, allowing the bunches of chardonnay to be bathed in sunlight from below. Chardonnay Claps is characterized by precise aromas with a fascinating aftertaste: such a combination can only come from a place like this.

Sensory profile: Straw yellow in colour. Fruity bouquet that reminds us the golden apple. Elegant and persistent on the palate.
Food pairings: Nice to be consumed alone. An excellent accompaniment with sea food, particularly shellfish and mollusks, with white meat and vegetable pies.
Service temperature: 10 - 12°C.

Production zone: Alpi Carniche of the high Grave Friulana
Grape varieties: 100% Chardonnay
Soil composition: Loose,well aired soil ,mainly composed of characteristic calcareous white coloured river stones from Grave,the result of flooding by the Meduna torrent.
Vineyard - growing systems and principal training forms: Guyot and Cordon Spur, with rigorous
winter pruning and intervention on the vegetation for leaf control apparatus and production. Protection against parasites and extreme attention for the irrigation management.
Harvest: Manual from mid September.
Vinification: Brief cold maceration of the grapes with soft fractional airbag pressing. Controlled temperature fermentation in stainless steel with a small fraction in large wooden barrels. Maturation in fine dregs and bottling in Spring.
Conservation: In standing bottles when consumption is expected within a short time. Otherwise it is suggested to lay the bottle down at a temperature as close as possible to 16 - 18¡°C in the dark.
Bottle and content: Bordolese bottle of 0,75 lt.
Packaging: Box containing 6 bottles positioned vertically(12 for the market in the U.S.A.).
