THE WINES OF VALPOLICELLA

constitute the most recently created Albino Armani product line, and they are exclusive in their fresh-flavored variety, since the grapes grow in the highest hills of Valpolicella, near the village of Marano. The area is a small natural paradise, where the grapevines occupy the last strip of land where winegrowing is possible, before reaching the mountain climate. The conditions are characterized by a very rich variety of elements, perfect exposure, and total respect for the slow and laborious traditional growing process. The drying of the grapes takes place in naturally ventilated barns, which, being situated at 640 meters above sea level, do not require artificial dehumidifiers. Wines: Amarone Cuslanus, Valpolicella Superiore and Ripasso.

OUR PRODUCTS

THE WINES OF THE ADIGE VALLEY OF VERONA
produced in Dolcè, grow in a climate characterized by constant wind and the mild influence of Lake Garda. Armani chooses between different fields with porphyry-limestone soil, and the parameter for such selection are sunshine and frost, to bring out the virtues of different grape varieties. Among such varieties, the family favorite is Foja Tonda, an ancient cultivar indigenous of the Adige Valley: it was Albino Armani who saved this variety from extinction. Foja Tonda is also a symbol for the biodiversity which makes this valley so special. Wines: Foja Tonda, Corvara, Chardonnay Piccola Botte, Colle Ara Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio.

THE WINES OF TRENTINO ALTO ADIGE
come from a valley called Vallagarina, situated in the townships of Ala and Avio. Here the vineyards compose a breathtaking landscape at the base of Monte Baldo and the Lessinia Hills, where the soil was made fertile by the Adige River that flows through. The strips of land, still cultivated according to the traditional pergola method, graduate from morenic to alluvial like steps from the higher areas down to the river. Discovering the best exposure for the different varieties has become a necessary condition for producing top-quality wines in a microclimate characterized by intense night-to-day temperature shifts, which are perfect for the ripening of the grapes. Wines: Schiava Rosato, Teroldego, Marzemino, Pinot Nero, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Muller Thurgau.

THE WINES OF FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA
are from Sequals, situated in the spectacular natural context of the Magredi Hills. Here the soil is poor, composed of over 80% pebbles, which are called claps in the local dialect. To grow wines here means to accept the area's rhythm and natural balance, low yields, and long hours: without these factors it is impossible to produce fine wines in this area, but the effort is compensated by intense and exclusive aromas. It is at the Sequals Vineyard, whose copper construction harmonizes with the landscape, where ancient mysteries coincide with advanced technological methods, such as the pressing method using gravity, and separating the winemaking areas according to temperature. Wines: Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Refosco del peduncolo rosso, Pinot Grigio, Traminer, Chardonnay, Friulano (from Tocai grapes), Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon.

THE WINES OF VALLE DEI RONCHI
Through the friendshisp between Albino Armani and Giuseppe Tognotti , the project to recuperate an old homestead and the small vineyard that embraces and protects it ,was born. An ambitious project, that is a dream, passion and immagination. In each bottle of Maso Michei wine you will find all this and more, much more.
Just above the trentino village of Ronchi the vines are nourished by the same land that provides the surrounding woods. The same vineyards thirst is quenched by the surrounding mountain snow, the air carries pollen, aromas and perfums that are found in the wines, so enriched in sensorial suggestions. In the breathtaking area of the “Piccole Dolomiti”the vineyard is located at 840m. above sea level and is one of the highest in Italy. Here most of the work is still done manually as it was in years gone by where rifrigeration doesn’t exist and the fermentation temperature is controlled by circulating spring water that is constantly nine degrees. The environmental impact is almost non existent ,due to a very low energy consumption. The homestead is self-sustaining and in perfect harmony with its territory today as it was in the past. If a bottle could contain a fable,it would tell the tale of Maso Michei. The Valle dei Ronchi wines are :Muller Thurgau,Pinot Nero and Gewurtztraminer.
